The first product from Viper Innovative Products, LLC is The VIPER™ Shield Rapid Deployment System.  It is a patent protected, less than 10 lb. ballistic shield integrated into the partition/cage of a law enforcement patrol vehicle.  The double latching mechanism that secures the shield into the partition is Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 206 compliant and allows for deployment in seconds.  The VIPER Shield Rapid Deployment System can be installed into any partition currently available on the market.  This means virtually all makes and models of patrol vehicles, from sedans to SUVs, can be equipped with The VIPER Shield. 

While a significant amount of police vests in use today are only rated NIJ Level II, The VIPER Shield has been certified NIJ-STD-0108.01 Level IIIA . When properly using The VIPER Shield Rapid Deployment System, officers are not only protecting vital areas left exposed by a vest, but they now have the ability to stop some of the most powerful and deadly handgun rounds.  The VIPER Shield's opaque armor, transparent armor and all fasteners have proven the ability to stop 9mm and .44 Magnum rounds.
